Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
"I would be the most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves." ~Anna Quindlen
“I have three precious things which I hold fast and prize. The first is gentleness; the second is frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men.” ~Lao Tzu
Life is a Journey
and I LOVE to travel. Here in this place, I share my thoughts & observations as I continue on this journey, this adventure called life. I am fascinated and amazed by so much that surrounds me, but sometimes I let the worries of life interfere with that sense of wonder that is in my heart. In Philippians, we are told to let our "gentleness be evident to all" and here lately I have been thinking that my gentleness has gotten away from me. In this place, through this medium, I hope to find my way back to the person I was intended to be, and along the way, strive to be a bit of a blessing to others in the process. It often looks like some folks travel through this life in big, fancy cars speeding right past us while others face the potholes of disappointment. We each have our own path to walk, and whether you join me for a day or for a season or for a lifetime, I hope you enjoy the view as we journey toward the gentleness that is intended for us all.
